The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters, is a star cluster about 400 light-years away. It is surrounded by a cosmic dust cloud, which appears as striking blue reflection nebulae in visible light. This infrared image from the Spitzer Space Telescope shows the dust itself glowing. The false-color image spans about seven light-years, revealing the densest regions of the dust.
