COSMIC MESSAGE
Messier 96 is a spiral galaxy with dust lanes swirling around its core. This island universe spans about 100,000 light-years, similar in size to our Milky Way. M96 is 38 million light-years away and is a dominant member of the Leo I galaxy group.
