Three Nebulae in Narrow Band

NASA APOD · Michael Mayda
COSMIC MESSAGE

Three stellar nurseries, all about 5,000 light-years away in Sagittarius. Messier 8, also called the Lagoon Nebula, is above and right of center. Messier 20, the Trifid Nebula, is on the left. The third, NGC 6559, is at the bottom right. This image uses false colors from narrow-band filters to highlight the gases.
