COSMIC MESSAGE
This pair of open star clusters, h and chi Persei, is an easy binocular target in the constellation Perseus. Cataloged by Hipparchus in 130 BC, they are now known as NGC 869 and NGC 884. These clusters are about 7,000 light-years away and are separated by only a few hundred light-years.
