COSMIC MESSAGE

On May 4, 2008, Mars aligned with Castor and Pollux, the bright stars of Gemini. This image captures Mars with a distinct yellowish hue, contrasting with the blue-white of Pollux and Castor. Pollux is a giant star with a known exoplanet, and Castor is a multiple star system. Though called twins in mythology, these stars are not physically related.
