Two Tails of Comet Lulin

NASA APOD · Richard Richins (NMSU)
COSMIC MESSAGE

Comet Lulin passed closest to Earth yesterday, so it will remain near its brightest over the next few days. It's almost 180 degrees from the Sun, making it visible nearly all night long. The comet will appear to move about ten full moons across the sky each night. In this image, it shows two distinct tails: a gas ion tail and a dust tail.
