Gibbous Europa
This is Jupiter's moon Europa, captured by the Galileo spacecraft between 1995 and 2003. We see a gibbous phase, revealing plains of bright ice and cracks that stretch to the horizon. Dark patches likely contain ice and dirt, and raised terrain near the terminator casts shadows.
