NASA APOD · T. Rector
COSMIC MESSAGE

T Tauri is the prototypical example of a star in the process of formation, visible as the bright orange star near the center. It is surrounded by a dusty yellow cosmic cloud known as Hind's Variable Nebula. Both the star and the nebula are observed to vary significantly in brightness. This region is over four hundred light-years away, at the edge of a molecular cloud.
