COSMIC MESSAGE
Stickney Crater is the largest crater on Phobos, Mars's moon. Named for Chloe Angeline Stickney Hall, wife of Phobos's discoverer Asaph Hall, it is over 9 kilometers across. This means it is nearly half the moon's diameter, suggesting the impact almost shattered the tiny moon. The HiRISE camera captured this enhanced-color image.
