Lunokhod 1, a Soviet rover, landed on the Moon in 1970 and explored the Sea of Rains for nearly a year. This image shows the rover's retroreflector, which still bounces lasers off the lunar surface. Scientists use these reflections to measure the Earth-Moon distance with high precision.
