From New Zealand's Lake Taupo, the ecliptic plane arcs high overhead, a cosmic highway for planets and zodiacal light. Venus, Regulus, Mars, and Saturn align, marking the path where the Sun, Moon, and planets appear to travel across our sky. The faint glow of zodiacal light, scattered by dust in our solar system, completes this southern hemisphere view.
