COSMIC MESSAGE

Mercury, our solar system's innermost planet, was visible near the Moon on July 8th. This image, taken from Tenerife, captures the faint glow of the lunar night side. Mercury is never far from the Sun in our sky, but it shines brightly in the predawn twilight. It was positioned just below Zeta Tauri, a star in the constellation Taurus.
