Young Suns of NGC 7129

NASA APOD · Ken Crawford
COSMIC MESSAGE

Three thousand light-years away in Cepheus, young suns still glow in NGC 7129. These stars are only a few million years old, much younger than our own Sun. Bluish dust clouds reflect the starlight, and deep red crescent shapes mark energetic, young stellar objects. Our Sun likely formed in a similar stellar nursery five billion years ago.
