COSMIC MESSAGE
The Veil Nebula, also known as the Cygnus Loop, is the expanding remnant of a star that exploded over 5,000 years ago. These delicate filaments of gas in Cygnus span nearly three degrees in the sky. The gas glows as it is shocked and heated by the supernova blast wave.
