Spiral galaxy NGC 2683, located 20 million light-years away in Lynx, is seen nearly edge-on. This orientation makes it difficult to tell if it has a bar across its center, similar to our Milky Way. The blended light from a large population of older, yellowish stars dominates the central bulge.
