Noctilucent Clouds Over Edmonton

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Sometimes, it's night on the ground but day in the air. Noctilucent clouds float so high that they can be seen well after dark, illuminated by sunlight from below. These clouds, normally too dim to be visible, become prominent at sunset during late summer. This image captures them over Edmonton, Canada, glowing in the twilight.
