COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 7331 is a spiral galaxy in Pegasus, about 50 million light-years away. It is often considered an analog to our own Milky Way. This galaxy was recognized early on as a spiral nebula, and it is one of the brighter galaxies not in Messier's catalog. Its inclined disk creates a sense of depth in long telescopic exposures.
