COSMIC MESSAGE
These faint, ghostly shapes in Cepheus are cosmic dust clouds, dimly reflecting starlight. They are part of the Cepheus Flare molecular cloud complex, about 1,200 light-years away. The isolated Bok globule, vdB 141 or Sh2-136, is over two light-years across and lies near the center of the field.
