The Curiosity Rover, part of the Mars Science Laboratory, launched on an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral. This rover is five times larger than previous Mars rovers and carries instruments to analyze the Martian surface. It is scheduled to land on Mars and begin its two-year mission next August.
