NASA APOD · Rolf Geissinger
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Wizard Nebula, NGC 7380, is an active star-forming region about 8,000 light-years away. Within its 100-light-year span, gravity forms new stars. Stellar winds and radiation from these stars then sculpt and dissolve the surrounding gas and dust, creating the nebula's distinctive shape.
