COSMIC MESSAGE
Spiral galaxies M65 and M66 are about 35 million light-years away and similar in size to our Milky Way. Both show prominent dust lanes within their spiral arms. M66, in particular, displays a striking contrast of red and blue hues. The pinkish glow comes from hydrogen gas in star-forming regions, while the blue indicates young, hot star clusters. These two galaxies are part of a group known as the Leo Triplet.
