NGC 5033 is a spiral galaxy some 40 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici. This telescopic portrait shows details of dust lanes near the galaxy's bright core and its spiral arms. The arms are speckled with pink star-forming regions and blue star clusters. It is similar in size to our own Milky Way.
