Stars and Dust Across Corona Australis

NASA APOD · Glittering Lights
COSMIC MESSAGE

A dark dust cloud in Corona Australis, the Southern Crown, blocks the light from more distant stars. The brightest part of the cloud is about eight light-years long and sits less than 500 light-years away. At its tip are several reflection nebulae, including NGC 6726 and IC 4812, which glow blue from reflected starlight.
