COSMIC MESSAGE
Star trails circle around the North Celestial Pole in this composite image taken over Nauset Lighthouse on Cape Cod. The camera, fixed on a tripod, recorded the apparent movement of stars as the Earth rotated over 30 minutes. The North Celestial Pole, the point around which all northern stars appear to revolve, is hidden behind the lighthouse beacon in this well-planned shot.
