Arp 188 and the Tadpole's Tail

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Arp 188, also known as the Tadpole Galaxy, is a disrupted spiral galaxy located 420 million light-years away in Draco. Its long, bright tail, stretching 280,000 light-years, is filled with massive blue star clusters. This dramatic feature is thought to be the result of a smaller galaxy passing through Arp 188, pulling out its stars and gas.
