This anaglyph provides a stereo view of the Moon, captured by Apollo 17 commander Eugene Cernan. Taken from lunar orbit in 1972, it shows the Taurus-Littrow Valley, the landing site for Apollo 17. The image was assembled from two photographs, giving a sense of depth to the lunar surface.
