Cassiopeia A, or Cas A, is a supernova remnant about 11,000 light-years away. Light from the stellar explosion reached Earth about 330 years ago. This composite image combines optical data with X-ray data from the NuSTAR telescope. It shows the expanding debris cloud, which now spans about 15 light-years.
