Comet PanSTARRS Anti-Tail

Comet PanSTARRS, now bound for the outer solar system, displays an extensive anti-tail. This anti-tail is made of dust trailing along the comet's orbit, stretching to the left of the coma in this widefield image. The image was taken against the starry background of Cepheus. The comet, though dimmer, still shows its broad dust tail growing.
