Stars and Dust Across Corona Australis

NASA APOD · Ignacio Diaz Bobillo
COSMIC MESSAGE

Cosmic dust clouds sprawl across the Corona Australis region, less than 500 light-years away. These clouds block light from more distant background stars in the Milky Way. Near the center are reflection nebulae NGC 6726, 6727, 6729, and IC 4812, which glow with a characteristic blue tint.
