COSMIC MESSAGE

An analemma is the figure-8 path the Sun follows in the sky over a year, captured by taking a picture at the same time each day. This image shows a tutulemma, an analemma captured during a solar eclipse. Yesterday, the Winter Solstice in Earth's northern hemisphere, the Sun appeared at the bottom of the analemma. Analemmas vary slightly depending on the observer's latitude.
