COSMIC MESSAGE
A cosmic journey from the California Nebula to the Pleiades star cluster spans just over 12 degrees in the night sky. That's like 25 full moons. This wide mosaic image reveals dusty nebulae and colors too faint for the eye. On the left, NGC 1499, the California Nebula, has a familiar shape. This region covers parts of Perseus and Taurus.
