The annual Geminid meteor shower rained down on Earth in mid-December, originating from the constellation Gemini. This four-hour composite from Las Campanas Observatory in Chile captures the meteors. The 2.5-meter du Pont Telescope and 1-meter SWOPE telescope are visible in the foreground.
