COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 7331 is a spiral galaxy in Pegasus, about 50 million light-years distant. It is often considered an analog to our own Milky Way galaxy. Its disk is inclined to our line of sight, giving telescopic images a strong sense of depth, with other background galaxies visible beyond it.
