Jupiter's Great Red Spot from Voyager 1

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Jupiter's Great Red Spot, a hurricane larger than Earth, has been raging for as long as telescopes could see it. Since the 1930s, its size has been shrinking, and this rate appears to have accelerated in recent years. This image, captured by Voyager 1, shows the storm in its earlier, larger state. Small eddies feeding into the storm system seem to play a role in its dynamics.
