Hubble's Jupiter and the Amazing Shrinking Great Red Spot

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Jupiter, the solar system's largest planet, is known for its Great Red Spot, a giant swirling storm. This Hubble image from April 21 shows the storm, which could still easily swallow Earth. The Great Red Spot has been shrinking, and recent Hubble observations measure it at about 10,250 miles across. This is the smallest it has ever been measured.
