Super Moon vs. Micro Moon
NASA APOD · Catalin Paduraru
COSMIC MESSAGE
Tomorrow's full moon will appear slightly larger and brighter than usual. This is because the moon reaches its full phase within a short time of perigee, its closest point to Earth in its elliptical orbit. This will be the third consecutive supermoon. Although the precise definition varies, a supermoon occurs when a full moon coincides with its closest approach to Earth.
