NGC 6302, also known as the Butterfly Nebula, spans over three light-years. This planetary nebula has an exceptionally hot central star, with an estimated surface temperature of about 250,000 degrees Celsius. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this detailed view of the dying star's nebula in 2009.
