This global map of Dione, one of Saturn's midsized icy moons, was constructed from a decade of Cassini spacecraft data. Dione, discovered by Cassini the astronomer in 1684, is about 1,120 kilometers across. The map reveals a striking difference in brightness between the moon's leading and trailing hemispheres. Its full resolution is 250 meters per pixel.
