COSMIC MESSAGE

This colorful image features Sharpless catalog emission region Sh2-155, also known as the Cave Nebula. Narrowband filters track the glow of ionized sulfur, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms in red, green, and blue hues. The nebula is about 2,400 light-years away, located along the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy toward the constellation Cepheus. This region formed at the boundary of the massive Cepheus B association.
