COSMIC MESSAGE
Orion is more than just three stars in a row. This deep exposure reveals dark nebulae, star clusters, and extensive wisps of gas within the greater Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. The three bright stars on the far left form Orion's belt. Just below Alnitak, the lowest belt star, is the Flame Nebula, glowing with excited hydrogen gas and surrounded by dark brown dust filaments.
