Moondog Night

NASA APOD · Martin Ratcliffe
COSMIC MESSAGE

On November 14, a last quarter Moon lit up clouds over Kitt Peak National Observatory. Bright Jupiter is visible to the left of the Moon. A striking 'moondog,' or paraselene, appears directly over one of the observatory domes, not a meteor.
