Molecular Cloud Barnard 68

COSMIC MESSAGE
Barnard 68 is a dark cloud of dust and gas in the constellation Ophiuchus. It is so dense that it blocks almost all visible light from the stars behind it. This makes its interior one of the coldest and most isolated places in the universe. Astronomers once thought such regions were empty holes in the sky.
