COSMIC MESSAGE
The Cygnus region is a star-forming area, rich in glowing gas and dark dust. This part of the Gamma Cygni nebula spans about 50 light years and is 1,800 light years distant. Barnard 344, a dark and twisted dust cloud, is visible to the right, with a dramatic wall of red-glowing hydrogen gas.
