Comet 67P/Churyumov, Gerasimenko, a 3-kilometer wide comet, expels gas and dust as it approaches the Sun. The Rosetta spacecraft orbited the comet's double nucleus, sending back data. Analysis showed that the water expelled by 67P is significantly different from Earth's water, which suggests Earth's water may not have come from comets like this one.
