The central band of our Milky Way Galaxy appears to rotate and shift across the sky as the Earth turns. This photo was taken from a sea cave in Leo Carrillo State Park near Malibu, California. The photographer timed the single shot to capture the galaxy through the 10-meter high cave entrance.
