COSMIC MESSAGE
The New Horizons spacecraft made its closest approach to Pluto and its moons today, July 14. Moving at high speed, it was preprogrammed to collect images and data, going out of contact with Earth for several hours. This flyby is a historic moment, providing humanity's first detailed look at the Pluto system. We expect to receive data and images from the spacecraft soon.
