COSMIC MESSAGE

The Double Cluster, h and Chi Persei, sits 7,000 light-years away in the constellation Perseus. These two open star clusters are only a few hundred light-years apart and formed around the same time, about 13 million years ago. Both clusters contain stars much younger and hotter than our Sun. This starfield spans about one and a half degrees, or three times the width of the full Moon.
