Our Milky Way galaxy is part of a group that includes M31, the Andromeda galaxy, and M33, the Triangulum galaxy. This composite image shows both spiral galaxies, separated by about 14 degrees in Earth's sky. The bright star Mirach in Andromeda appears between them, much closer to us at 200 light-years.
