COSMIC MESSAGE
Two comets visit the inner Solar System at the same time. Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) stretches its ion tail across the frame, with C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) a fainter smudge to its upper left. Both were discovered in 2025 and are visible here against the stars of Virgo. Mars, a ruddy orb, joins them, completing a rare celestial gathering.
