COSMIC MESSAGE
This image captures a gigantic prominence on the Sun, a landscape of incandescent plasma suspended in looping magnetic fields. The structure is about 600,000 kilometers across, dwarfing even Jupiter. It was observed through a backyard telescope using a narrowband filter for ionized hydrogen.
